As children grow up, holidays change – and that’s perfectly fine with us! We understand that a great family holiday looks different for teens than it does for little ones. That’s why Hotel Engel offers a dedicated programme for teens aged 10 and up – relaxed, age-appropriate and packed with action.
During the school holidays, we run a special teen programme with 16 hours per week – outdoors in nature or active indoors. Always optional, always on equal footing – and always with room for their own opinions.
Our outdoor guide Markus takes older kids on exciting tours – including “Schluchting”, sensory hikes or forest adventures. We also offer creative indoor sessions like:

For many teens, it’s a milestone: their first night in their very own hotel room. At Hotel Engel, this is possible – with your agreement as parents, of course. A little more independence and a bit more space for everyone on your family holiday.
Naturally with time limits – our dedicated teens-only area gives the older ones space to be themselves. No crafts, no kids’ activities – just cool gear and plenty of room to chill:
